What you can expect of us:
Empanda is more than a roof over your head, we offer you a safe place to live whilst you work with staff to get the skills you need to move on into your own
place.
For this to happen you can expect the staff at an Empanda building to:
- Treat you with respect, listen to you and be guided by you in agreeing what type of support you want to receive
- Treat anything you tell us and all of your personal information as confidential. Unless we have to share something by law we will always ask your permission
first.
- Help you stick to the house rules and your licence agreement by reminding you if you’re not keeping to them.
- Help you to make sure your housing benefit (if you receive it) is paid and keeping an eye on your rent account.
- Work with you through the Independent Living Skills program so you can prove you’re ready for your own place.
- Give you a nudge if they think you’re not stretching yourself.. Empanda is temporary housing and you need to be working towards moving into your own, more permanent
accommodation
- Be flexible and understanding – the Empanda staff team come from lots of different backgrounds and have a huge range of different skills and experiences to draw
from.
- Be approachable – and if you want to speak with a manager or director you can.
